The Bower Coronado: A Hotel With Its Own Point of View



The Bower Coronado is right across the street from Hotel del Coronado, but it has a look and feel that’s entirely its own. Warm wood, textured finishes, deep teal, red tables, and the glow of the old Villa Capri sign give the hotel a lot of character. It’s a great place to photograph because there’s something interesting around every corner.


For this shoot, we wanted to show what a stay here could feel like. We photographed the rooms and shared spaces, then followed guests through the rest of their day: arriving at the hotel, heading to the beach, and getting together over food and drinks. The beach setup is just a short walk from the property, with the Del nearby and plenty of room to slow down for an afternoon.


Upstairs, Dive Rooftop brings another side of The Bower into view. The rich colors continue through the restaurant, from its red tables to the teal details and Villa Capri neon. It’s a fun setting for dinner or drinks, with open-air seating and views across Coronado. We spent time photographing both the space and the people enjoying it, because the atmosphere is a big part of the experience.


The location also makes sense for a San Diego wedding weekend. Guests can stay in Coronado, spend their free time by the beach, and travel across the bridge for celebrations at downtown San Diego venues. If the wedding is at Hotel del Coronado, The Bower is directly across the street.


What stands out to us most is how much personality The Bower fits into one stay. The rooms feel calm and comfortable, while the rooftop is colorful and social. Add the beach and its Coronado location, and guests have plenty to enjoy before and after the wedding day.
